Readergirlz Cake

The readergirlz divas are celebrating their first year of inspiring girls to read, reflect, and reach out. They invite you to participate in Operation Teen Book Drop. The divas are partnering with book publishers, Children’s hospitals around the country, and  YALSAto provide 10,000 free. fabulous YA books to teen hospital patients. Visit the readergirlz website to find out more about Teen Book Drop and about all the cool things going on with the readergirlz, including this month’s featured author, Sarah Dessen. While you’re at The Unquiet Library, you can check out Sarah’s book, Just Listen. Here’s a review from readergirlz: Just Listen is a year in the life of a family coming to terms with the imperfections beneath its perfect facade. Last year, Annabel was “the girl who has everything.” This year, she’s the girl who has nothing: no best friend, no peace at home, and no one to sit with at lunch. Until she meets Owen Armstrong, a music-obsessed boy. With his help, maybe Annabel can face what happened the night she and Sophie stopped being friends.
