…feeling the need to read

The Debut of Readergirlz TV!

Posted by blatantbibliophiles on September 2, 2008

Those readergirlz! They never stop amazing us! Now they have readergirlz TV on YouTube. OK, so you can’t see it at school because, well, it’s blocked. But there’s always home. And wherever else you have Internet access. Why readergirlz TV, you may ask? Say you’re reading your favorite book, and you just would give anything if you could sit down with the author and ask her what on earth she was thinking when she wrote that line. Well, now you almost can. Readergirlz TV is almost like meeting your favorite authors face to face. Some of readergirlz’ favorite authors like Rachel Cohn, Sonya Sones, Jay Asher, and Paula Yoo share their insights into writing, including how they cope with the nightmare of writer’s block! Paula is the author of this month’s readergirlz featured book, Good Enough. The first installment of readergirlz TV was created by Little Willow, Holly Capala, and readergirlz diva Justina Chen Headley, author of Nothing But the Truth (and a Few White Lies), Girl Overboard, and the upcoming North of Beautiful. Be sure to follow Justina’s blog this year while she visits China. Holly Capala is responsible for readergirlz’ cool graphic designs, and also just sold her debut novel to HarperCollins in a two-book contract. Look for her first book to hit the shelves in 2010. Little Willow is a great website design diva herself, famous for her cool website, bildungsroman, which features great YA author interviews and booklists.
