readergirlz-december

This month, the readergirlz are welcoming one of Creekview’s favorite authors, Meg Cabot. who will be discussing her novel How to be Popular. They will also be joining Meg in celebrating the release of her tenth Princess Diaries novel, Forever Princess. Be sure to join the readergirlz and Meg at the rgz group forum to chat about all things princess and popular! In the spirit of the Holidays, the readergirlz will be giving away two swag bags during readergirlz LIVE! After you finish How to be Popular, curl up by the fireplace with one of these readergirlz recommendations:

A La Carte, by Tanita Davis
Fringe Girl in Love, by Valerie Frankel
Perfect You, by Elizabeth Scott
How Not to be Popular, by Jennifer Ziegler
Respect, a Girl’s Guide to Getting Respect & Dealing When your Line is Crossed, by Courtney Macavinta & Andrea Vander Pluym

Here’s a synopsis of How to be Popular from the readergirlz site:
How to Be Popular by Meg Cabot

Stephanie Landry’s been the least-popular girl in her class since a certain incident five years earlier. But this year, she has a secret weapon: An old book called How to Be Popular. All Steph has to do is follow the instructions in The Book, and soon she’ll be partying with the It Crowd (including quarterback Mark Finley) instead of sitting on The Hill Saturday nights, stargazing with her nerdy best pal Becca, and even nerdier Jason (now kind of hot, but still).

Steph doesn’t realize that it’s easy to become popular. What isn’t so easy? Staying that way.

Kristen Reviews Pants on Fire by Meg Cabot!

Posted by blatantbibliophiles on October 16, 2008

Have you been to Kristen’s blog yet? She decided to create her own blog on WordPress and to write her book reviews there. She has a great review of Pants on Fire by Meg Cabot that will make you want to run out and read it ASAP. You know you love Meg Cabot. (BTW, did you see in the screenshot above from Meg’s website that Princess Diaries 10 is coming out January 6!!!!) You know Kristen knows books. And hey, it turns out she knows how to write. Who knew? So either click on the link above, or click on the link over on the right side of this blog and read Kristen’s review. Remember, if you leave a comment, don’t leave your last name. Some Internet perv might read it. Enter your email or it will go to Kristen’s spam. Kristen has to approve it before it appears on her blog, so your comment won’t show up right away. Remember you can also click on the tab at the top of the Bibliophile blog that says “Tell us what you’re reading!” (or something like that–I can’t see it right now because I’m posting!) and write your OWN reviews. We can’t wait to hear from you!
